Plastic Pot Problems

There’s nothing wrong with using plastic pots in a garden for propogating or whatever. I only know of one small plant place that uses only terracotta, but he’s working with a limited number of passionflowers and pots, hundreds at most. Plastic is ugly, yes, but practical for many reasons…

The size of these pots isn’t immediately clear from the photo, but the double green doors are 3 feet wide between the two pots still stuck together and the 18 I had already separated in the next room , so each pot is about 18 inches in diameter. 

The problem isn’t the pot, but just the fact that they’re stuck together like you wouldn’t believe. Like an elephant turned them upside down with his trunk and decided to sit down for a few hours, and occasionally wiggle. Damn, they were like one piece of plastic!
